back to business 101, who can you trust?

http://www.entrepreneur.com/article/224136
Hello readers, we have a great article to share with you today and its all about "trust". Trust in business. The world is lacking of it..even personal and close relationships lack it..so trust is becoming a commodity that trumps all others especially in the business and sales world!  The book "no BS trust-based marketing", authors Dan S. Kennedy and Matt zagula, trail blaze this idea to its fullest glory. In their article today and the noted link, they detail strategies to build and maintain trust in your business and in turn attract both cosumers and profits!  ahhhh . At last, folks who speak of "for profit" and real concepts to bring those profits to reality.
One of the first strategies to succeed in business is to detail ways to prove your concept and establish trust with clients. This writer knows this lesson well with real estate sales experience. Especially where the purchase of a home and your biggest investment is concerned! It is a challenge, trust me. So trust again in surefire ways to get your business rolling. New businesses can prove their worth by popularity and sheer numbers. A good tactical exercise is to apply as many different types of proof to your marketing as possible. The book suggests five types of Proof necessary to win and attract clients.
1)proof of concept.
2)proof of personal relevance
3)proof of promised benefits or outcome
4)proof of superiority
5)proof of concept (overwhelming proof needed).
How concepts can play out in a company's market could be examples as cited here from 1-5 .
First, Before you are trusted the concept must be trusted. This is a strategy of negotiation. totally.
second, make sure your concept resonates with client personally. Proof of concept , proof of relevance can be made with tesitmonials and other stories from success with customers.  Like the "it works for me..it will work for you" idea.
third, show don't tell. To buy, buyers must feel confident and reassured. If  rock solid certain, the promised and hoped for benefits and outcome will occur for the customers especially when there is demonstration or the client can experience the benefits for themselves, such as a trial period or trying out of products. So outcomes that the prospect desires are the proof.
fourth, Be the most trusted business. Once prospects have accepted your means of meeting a need as a proven safe concept,  they will want to go a step further to see what other providers and choices . To be trsuted you must present all the answers and give consumer education and protection. This will be a relationship based on trust in the most positive sense.
last and fifth, you must offer a preponderance of proof, much as an attorney who presents an argument and case, with supporting evidence, a business man then must bring multiple proofs to the client especially in "un-trusting" times. The best way to bring the overwhelming proof is by these three supporting ideas, quantity, quality and diversity.
This looks to be an excellent book and if any are considering small business, online business and marketing you may want to read these great "golden nuggets" because as many know, including this contributing writer, you must start with borrrowed funds usually and todays loans for small business are being extremely regulated and with strict lending policies. If you start small you can realize profit by these tried and true concepts of building trust. I like the client to client approach and big corporate mass-media blitzes are just not in my vocabulary. What really lasts are the trusting and personal relationships we make in business and in life and that means having a standard of honesty and morality to gain trust over time. I don't think there is an "instant trust" but the more "proofs" you can bring of your concepts the better educated the client and i feel the education bonds the trust . That is my signature style anyway. So try out your methods..bring the evidences and happy prospecting folks!! We live in a very "untrusting" world today and trust must be restored. With a new president who will support the free enterprise system and small business communities with policy that jumpstarts jobs and business, we will see an "instant improvement" in our for profit potentials.
Vote Mitt Romney for president, Ryan for VP on nov,. 6, 2012.
We must restore our small business backbone and legacy in this country.
