Here we go again. The economy is getting slaughtered like a Thanksgiving turkey. Let's focus on jobs, that's the biggie topic, for several years now, and still needs much addressing, and perhaps some undressing too, so let's get to do.
Do you love your job? Do you hate it? Are you still looking for the perfect job?
Did you ever wonder why it's so hard? It doesn't have to be! Just take a step back and think about what you like to do, all the things you like to do - make a list if it helps. Then, look over your list. Which of the things on the list do you find beneficial, not just for yourself and your amusement, but also are helpful to those around you, and society as a whole. See, was that so hard?
It's a tough time right now because many of us feel as though we have no control over the economy -- but we do! We just have to dig deeper, and find out what this country really needs. I've said it before and I'll say it again, the United States is uniquely positioned to offer information technology solutions to the entire world. We don't make products here anymore, we design them. We market them. We sell them. All of this, many times without seeing the actual product, since it comes from somewhere else.
We just don't know how valuable our expertise is. There are people throughout the world that are ready to eat up everything that we put forth. And there's nothing wrong with that, humans are very diverse and have different needs. It's our job to do what comes naturally to us, while being socially positive and responsible.
I firmly believe that if we all act responsibly and promote one another, that the world can be a wonderful place. Sure, it's not always exciting and uplifting, but if we keep faith, we have nothing to worry about. So stay positive in your job search, or your current job, and you will be rewarded. Things are always looking up :)
