Todays topic is about humble beginnings and Going big solar associations. First, let me preface this blog with your clean energy task force in a small humble town.. anytown usa. Don't underestimate the power of people to bring the "power" of solar electric to your community. Branford's ct.'s clean energy task force has been doing the "humble things" since 2006 with bringing "grants" and "funding" to projects from the town high school to smaller projects for small and commercial businesses. One day I would like to see my hometowns of Branford ct. and Fairfield ct. with total solar communities.. Is it possible? totally!! and its coming to every "hometown" with land conservation and land trusts!! keep on the alert for your own town to introduce solar and sustainable energies to the mix. They will most likely appear on your townhall or town website with an "energy or sustainable" dept. I have seen towns in new hampshire as well, especially on the coast wanting to save the enviorment, tidal marshes and other beautiful landscapes for eco-friendly projects, preserving the natural beauty. Solar , wind and other renewable energies can work without emptying tons of "dirty" emissions into the air, land and sea!
