The "dark knight rises" and apparently doesn't fall..

hello readers and summer movie goers,
I trust you all are getting in a "flick" or two over the summer since it is the season for great "entertainment" and acting. Initially, we all had a culture shock based on the Dark Knight premiere in colorado. The terror of one "night" is unspeakable and the people associated with this high alert terror in a hometown theatre must be devastating !! The loss of a loved one, especially a young mother, a child, boyfriends and girlfriends who have just started out in life, make this movie "tragic" in it's content. It seems the box office has not "missed" a beat with relation to top sales and millions!! Dark Knight is number one after three weeks. Please reference this link for more information. http://news.yahoo.com/dark-knight-top-third-straight-week-162958531--finance.html
While none of the fans seem to be hestitant about investing in the box office sensation for this movie, i think one should be cautious of the game. Violence in america is a growing problem. It is on campuses, it is at public squares, it is in the most "benign" of public places like the theater in  aurora colorado. While families are in 3 weeks of mourning for lost loved ones, the sales and fans of the Dark Knight Rises , seem to be endless!!  While the actors of Dark Knight, certainly cannot be held responsible , I continue to wonder why the "shooter" exploded on that particular movie, at that specific premiere and in that exact theatre? you wonder what motivated that young man in weeks, minutes and seconds before the assault on innocent lives. I cant speak of the success of the Dark Knight Rises without speaking of the loss of life and the tragedy of violence that continues to threaten the defenseless in a place that until now, was a sacred place to enjoy entertainment with family and friends. It seems that people have moved on and the success of the Dark knight is in stone. Maybe the fans are resolute in saying "we are not going to live in fear", at which i would be totally supportive because we should not be paralyzed with fear no should we let a few "psychotics" running loose in the world, determine our activities or censor them altogether. I have not seen the movie yet.. I know the batman fans from the first to the last of the series will not be deterred from "seeing" this epic film.. but I might be a parent of young children who would "boycott" this film based on the carnage of the premier. I mean someone has to stand for "security" and non-violence.  if you have none when you walk into a theater with your children or even young adult, perhaps the people should start demanding more "security" before entering what could be a mass grave!! What is most upsetting to me about the colorado incident is that anyone , anywhere can learn to build bombs from the internet, get household products to build bombs or boobytrap a building and can otherwise be particpant in terrorist activities !! you would think when 911 happened that homeland security could prevent these types of tragedies, especially where  military type firearms are used..  Is there a way  that a computer could track purchases of anything suspect or numerous purchases or purchases of "arsenals" that would trigger a signal before such a violent act could take place?? I still have many questions about the care that "holmes" was receiving with psycho drugs and in general this young mans life on campus that should have indicated red flags..!! I mean if his own doctor was telling the "threat team" that he was a danger on campus.. why wasn't action taken..or parents advised.. or some notice . something... done to protect the lives of many.. !!! There are many failures in the system that i feel led to the terrible night at the premier of  the Dark Knight rises. That one night changed the lives of many with tragedy that will be on-going. I can't help but think how they must feel when seeing the "box office sales" of this movie and its tremendous popularity in the face of their wounds and grief.
Is profit above human life?  Are we more concerned about "virtual" worlds , special effects  and "entertainment" than we are about the safety of our families in a public place or theatre? I hope this tragic event will force theatre owner and any business to take "security" more seriously and to use "prevention" with hiring security or webcams that can at least give some notice to innocent people , defenseless people , that did not deserve to die at the hands of a criminal mind.
I am an advocate of film and acting. I have a professional actor and entertainer in the family and to be honest, I am concerned about his safety as much as any in the business based on the amount of "violence" and "mental illness" that is out there in our population. When going to see your favorite flick.. take precaution and make a plan with your loved ones for safety. I think of the fire drills that families draft in their homes for the safe exit for their families and the rules of fire safety that could make a difference. When entering a closed public event, perhaps people should have an "exit plan" in case of these tragic emergencies. We must protect innocent lives. It is more important than any "film" or "box office" blockbuster!! These earnings may have to pay damages to the victims. I have heard that Warner Brothers is setting up an account or fund for the victims. I think that would be the least they could do!
This is detective sparks.. taking a survey of the parking lot before entering any theater..keeping the rules of safety..Always check for suspicious characters.
We thank our sponsors .
until next time.. please enjoy the summer in safety. We will be having more on jesse's succinct news about upcoming films. Jesse , professional actor and model will be "starring" in some of them.
