Today I proudly give you some news about two ct. campuses that are ranked on the top ten list of "greenest schools" in america. I want to credit Kathleen Megan from the hartford courant for an excellent story on "greenest" campuses in ct. Yale and Uconn making Sierra magazine's survey. If you love your enviorment and nature and you want to attend a college that reflects your views on ecology and greenness, you may consider enrolling at Yale or Uconn for making "green" a part of your complete academic studies while you "contribute" to a green campus.
What you will learn is that Uconn is practicing composting and recycling of materials, reducing food wastes and Yale is taking energy "efficiency" to a new level. What both of these campuses need now is "solar installation" to save more on their "electric" bill while incorporating clean green energy. Seek the University of Hartford for on campus use of solar for campus buildings and energy savings that add up. We can possibly give tuition breaks and pay higher salaries for professors while reducing energy costs on all campuses across the country. Wouldn't that be the best of both worlds!! ??
