To be honest, I did know a few things about wind energy or wind turbines as they are called. In fact, i have a friend who owns a business in ct. that is powered by "wind energy". you can visit that website at Phoenix Press. Phoenix Press has one of the first wind turbines, being used to my knowledge in new haven ct. just a mile or two from Yale new haven campus. It would be great to see the Yale campus, as one of the top 10 greenest campuses, tied into a wind turbine grid or clean solar energy. Imagine all of the historic Yale campus being powered by the sun or wind for almost zero cost! Clean energy is coming and is here to stay! Wind energy will realize it's fullest potential on the coastal areas of the east and west coast, where offshore winds are plentiful. It is possible that wind energy will be at 35% of our total mix of alternative and renewable energies by 2030. What's not to love?? Wind energy turbines are made in america and according to the whitehouse fact sheet, employs 75,000 people. Wind Energy is definitely on the "map" with adding electrical power. Today you could combine, solar  and wind energy for your home, for your business, for industrial buildings and start seeing the benefits immediately. Bsfsd is working on a 3 way solar solution for sustainable homes. A home powered by the sun, heating and cooling that can be powered by the grid and hot water, powered by solar thermal. There are endless possibilities with solar clean energy and certainly wind energy is an option. While the installation of wind energy requires an abundance of wind power, usually associated with shoreline coastal areas , it may be a source of electricity and energy in other parts of the country where there is a steady wind current. Bsfsd is proud to be among those independent ameican businesses that will be using clean energy, solar electricity and other renewable energies. our first solar model home is getting underway in 2012.
