hello readers, welcome to todays succinct news about my personal favorite topic, Green sustainable energy! todays blog is not about green homes but about green IT businesses. IT..for amateurs that is Information Technology. This is a huge area of "greening"..One that cannot be ignored with more and more demand for computers and data servers. The Green IT solution makes sense and saves dollars to design and build more efficient data centers, servers and software applications. There are of course, highlighted reasons to go green. The clear and compelling argument cannot be dismissed states the green IT operating lead for accenture.
Recession and spike in energy costs in the last few years have permanently changed thinking about green IT and what it can contribute to the future demands of providing affordable energy to many corporate businesses. Businesses desire to cut capital costs and operational expenses , but it's no "bulletin" that consumers, especially young ones, base buying decisions on a company's green portfolio and practices including how it approaches sustainability.
Green Peace and NRDC , (national resources defense council) are two organizations that are applying pressure for businesses to adopt more green friendly practices. Facebook and Google have both bought into the Green message and learning curve. They are taking steps to venture in other climates where natural resources and clean energy provides answers for their energy needs. Facebook wants to use artic Air to keep equipment sufficiently cool 8 months of the year. Google data centers in the artic circle are being considered for the same green IT motivation. In Ireland, Green IT is the core economic reason that drives investment. IDA, industrial development agency of Ireland has promoted green energy with offering abundant renewable resources to attract major businesses and players like IBM, Microsoft, Dell, Accenture, Citi, Google and Pfizer. Ireland will cross over from being a "net" consumer of energy to a net exporter of energy with wind energy being a strong source. "clean renewable energy increasingly drives business and IT decision-making. " There are states in america as well that are creating a "green" attraction. Oregon, NC and Utah are among states that are attracting business due to tax policies and availability of the full suit of wind, water and solar energy cards!! As the energy policies continue to shape and form to meet the every increasing demand for affordably and save energy , we all should plan to incorporate "green" practices in our homes, business, in the manufacture of goods and in our communities. Mitt Romneys independent energy plan sets a deadline of 2020 for energy independence. I am a supporter of Mitt and his plans to remove our dependency on "foreign oil" and welfare".. These two steps are key in bringing back a middle class and strengthening small business. If america can stay competitive and reduce energy costs while increasing productivity, it will be a win win. !! We cannot be controlled by the high cost of energy as with the "oil" dependency for years. We must take accountability and bring these changes to mainstream availability. I predict the "greenest" will win for the next generations. Its a law of physics.. what goes green.. makes sense and gives back savings!! Go green , stay green and encourage others to do the same. Catch the solar grail spirit.. its the solution for energy independence! Congrats to Ireland for staying in the green game!!
