Today we celebrate our independence. Originally, this meant our separation from the mother country, the state of Great Britain. Now, the holiday has taken on a new meaning. It is a celebration of freedom -- freedom to live life as we see fit. What exactly does this mean?
Every day, we wake up from bed, and we dive into a complex world of choices. We must decide, throughout the day, what activities to focus on, where to go, and who to engage ourselves with. Thankfully, we are all born with an inner purpose, a story worth telling.
We are frustrated throughout the day when things don't go our way. There often seems to be obstacles at every corner. We think, "why is this happening to me, I did nothing wrong." The answer to the question is that we are all meant to go through these challenges; that is how we evolve, and that is how the world evolves. We are very special creations, creatures that have evolved over millions of years. We are living proof of the miracles of God. We do everything from walk on the moon, to simply telling fun stories to our friends and families. We may take these things for granted, but when we stop to think about it, it's quite amazing!
We should all be very thankful for the opportunity to develop our life stories, even if it means encountering adversity. Remember, be confident, and stay positive about yourself and your ideas at all times! The truth is, there is no such thing as truth in the world. What is "true" for you is completely false for someone else, and vice-versa. It's a scary thought, countering a world without answers. It's ok, because the answer lies inside of you. It's been there the whole time, since the very day you were born. There is a story that needs to be told, and only you can tell it.
So do your best, because, as the saying goes, God is always watching. How true is that saying? Do what you know is right, not because anyone told you, but because you wake up each day knowing so. If you see no results, guess what? You will. Guaranteed. Never doubt yourself; that which you care about most takes time to achieve. If you find yourself in a tough situation, where nothing you do seems to make a difference, here is my advice: take a step back. The truth is, the concept is simple -- when you aim to make a difference, you are. When you feel overwhelmed, overcome with doubt and negativity -- do something else for a little while! The fear that you are encountering is your soul's way of telling you that you are neglecting other area(s) of your life, and that you need to work on them for a moment. After you do, you may return your thoughts, your actions, to that which brought you fear.
This is a full-proof tactic for squashing even your biggest fears. You will never be a victim ever again, and you will never have to worry about your fears coming true, because the opportunity will never arise. See, we all have fears; we always have, and we always will. By taking control of your life -- your actions, thoughts, etc -- you will be able to learn about your fears, why you have those particular ones, and how to overcome them. Through self-control you'll never have to worry about letting them get the better of you; you'll always have the upper-hand, and you'll be much healthier. You can blow your fear a kiss, bid your adieu, reconnect with other areas of your life, and then say hello at a later time. And when you do, see how far you've come -- it'll be amazing, I swear!
We are all different, with amazing, evolved perspectives of the universe. I implore you, I dare you, to ask yourself each day -- how can I be least comfortable today? Seek out challenge, and rewards will come. I speak from experience, the only way you will find happiness in this world is through seeking out challenge. It's the only way..
