The beauty of distance learning, PHC.EDU, christian foundations

http://www.phc.edu/distance_web.php
Hello Readers and explorers,
Todays topic, is a very relevant one for most who are starting college or continuing education. American prides itself on being the most "educated" country  on the global scale. Our american history is one of brilliant examples of scholarship starting with the first founders, many of whom were homeschooled with a christian faith.  Today, we have a growing  international student population and some of the finest institutions of academics in the world that attract them here to our country !! The competition is fierce though and with tuitions on the rise and student loans a major force, all focus is on getting the best education to prepare you for these uncertain economic times ahead. There is also another consideration , you might be examining for yourself  or your "student" in the family. That is a "christian" education that prepares you for life as much as "education" and instills values that are taught in homeschooling homes, enforcing for many students who have started out with "christian curriculums" in homeschooling the continuation as leadership opportunities in community outreach.
Certainly, christianity has been the "faith" of our founding fathers and a distinctive part of the fabric in the way we govern and do business in america. Christianity is for the most part, the catalyst for the adoption of the principles that rule our country. The belief that the "individual" can be a model of self-government and conduct their life according to "humane" practices including the operation of businesses that sustain independence, is central to our "identity".Welfare and big government are the "evils" of our society, as dependency is an unwanted and tragic result of the expansion of services, special interest groups and some "toxic" , unconstitutional activities that are damaging our nations "identity" currently.
To be sure, we want to protect our families with financial security and that, in our country means we learn as much as we can through vocation/trade or by taking formal education in our desired discipline of interest. The more we can "think" and "do" for ourselves the better, in a world that is increasingly invasive and dysfunctional. As many families and students prepare to enter college this academic year, most have reviewed tons of materials and made a selection of a college or prepatory school that most aligns with their family history, beliefs or educational background. For those considering starting or continuing education, I highly recommend Patrick Henry College for its outstanding opportunities afforded to the students to participate in many worthy volunteer programs in the community that build character, PHC also offers the blend of christianity, american history and academics that I see as valuable for preserving in our youth, those fundamentals of character and leadership traits that are essential for the "success" of the future of our nation. Democracy and the democratic process all originated in this country as an outgrowth of faith and the protections we should have as citizens. The law is designed for our "protection" , not "exploitation". Our system of government with checks and balances so that no single arm of govt. becomes to corrupt or greedy is one of our important differences to how other governments are managed. The design of our democratic system by founders with vision, developed a federal govt. that works only by response and reaction to the "majority" of voices. The people..rule. The election process is  key to putting your "single" voice in action, and is the hallmark of our freedom to vote.  We are ruled only by candidates that represent us. Our constitutional freedoms are the essence of our belief system. Essentially we believe that man will be ethical in his dealings with other men. Trust in our govt. and the way it works then is earned , one president at a time , according to judicial rule and response to the needs of the people. Our country is unique from all others in its formation and democratic formula. As the President and commander-in-chief, the main responsibility is to "defend and protect" our country and constitution. If a president fails to do this , he or she can be impeached. A president is a  public "servant" of the people. As students in a free society, we have unlimited opportunities to explore academic paths and we have the safety of our govt. to ensure that we can reach our potential if we have ethical standards and commit no offenses to our fellow man. In most cases, we want to serve and help the condition of our fellow man.
Detective sparks reporting on the value of "christian education" and why it is an integral part of our founding fathers documents.
Remember to vote on Nov. 6, 2012 for the candidate that will "protect" your voice and do those necessary actions to preserve our nations freedoms and prosperity with an ethical guidance.
If  you are taking up studies, consider "distance learning" as one option for starting or continuing education. Adult learners continuing education or those holding down full time jobs can benefit from the convenience that Patrick Henry distance learning , can offer. No drives to campus and other time -consuming tasks can make it possible for any student to keep their budget goals as well as their academic goals going forward.
