hello readers,
You know this contributing writer has a blog load to report on clean energy. While Obama has been aggressively in the face of green clean energy and supporting govt. loans for wind, solar and alternatives, he has taken a stand against other fuels, including fossil-fuels, for powering america! Some of Obama's failures like Solyndra, gave solar a bad name.. but i personally know of many solar tech companies and businesses that are doing well. The state incentives and loans have helped but Obama has not succeeded in transforming the solar industry, making the potential visible to the masses or taking it to a level where the average businessman or residential home owner can take advantage and reduce costs. Instead I see the utility companies, many times public or managed by the state or govt. , misreading the game of solar energy and in some cases, trying to shut it down. If the people can become independent with energy choices and savings, who would continue to buy electricity from higher priced utility companies? I see that solar energy is growing in the northeast, and i for one will be investing more of my time in growing my own solar business based on the performance records that are now being produced by many who have installed or incorporated solar into their renewable energy mix. In the 70's we had a scare about oil crisis and shortage. Gas prices began to zoom upwards..and i remember the lines for "gas" were long and winding with people's tempers short. What resulted from this historic expose of middle east power over americans at the gas pump began a movement of alternative energies , including electric cars and solar technology. Some of the biggest companies like sunpower in athens, ohio, have been in business since that first protect of oil and gas prices in the 70's!!!They are also a company that produces parts and solar for the NASA space program. you can read more about www.sunpowerinc.com That's when americans eyes were opened to the politics of oil and gas. Our country has been inextricably linked to the blood, oil , terror since that time and it is in our best interests..the interest of america and its longevity , to make transition to solar , wind turbine and other renewable energies. Mitt Romney plans to reveal his policies for energy this thursday, august 23, 2012, so keep a close watch on his solar and renewable initiatives. He will be creating new jobs , badly needed jobs for the Keystone pipeline and other oil drilling efforts but this is also needed for our energy independence. I think Mitt is right for standing in opposition to the EPA. They have effectively shut down many companies and jobs, causing over-regulation and litigation that is strangling business and productivity. What is left of our manufacturing industry and middle class must be supported, not destroyed. American goods must again take precedence and we must bring back the "american" middle class worker who produces quality materials that hold value. We simply cannot outsource anymore of our american manufacturing jobs!! or human capital. Government layers of red tape are literally killing jobs..killing new businesses and killing the middle class. While we want healthy enviorments and applaud solar clean energy , wind energy and other renewable alternatives, making transition overnite is not realistic or profitable. The EPA is costing americans opportunity. I agree with Mitt that we need to support those companies that simply can't afford to stay in business with all of the EPA regulations and demands. I agree with Mitt that the pipeline and oil drilling for energy indepdence is key to keeping our country safe and safe from high gas and oil prices that we are seeing now.. almost 4.00 per gallon at the pump for gas. It is adding cost to every single industry!! food that ships.. products that ship by truck..every single item you buy will have higher prices due to higher oil and gas prices.! in new england we are hard hit buy oil home heating fuels and high gas prices. If you commute to work your income must rise to accomodate increases in food, gas and other necessities and in many cases the income isnt rising as fast as the "inflation". In ct. for example, we have seen a loss of thousands of manufacturing jobs. There is virtually no middle class here as i once knew it. There are desperately poor and desperately rich. We need the middle class to balance the classes otherwise we are headed to a socialist country. We are seeing the Ameican Dream as an endangered species. Another reason why i urge readers and voters to Vote Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan election day, nov. 6, 2012. I see Mitt's plan as the way to go with a budget that will invest in the research and development of Solar and other renewable energies , while building pipelines for oil independence and creating jobs. I think Mitt is right to support all energy industries including gas, oil and coal based on our needs for "independent" energy sources with little or no dependency on foreign oil and the politics that go with it. Please read the link to learn more about Mitt's energy policies. It's time for america to move forward with an aggressive and bold plan for energy independence and I think Mitt has this plan for america and for jobs created and maintained for the people. The transition must be made and I feel Mitt holds the "energy" cards in his favor!! There must be accountability with govt. loans made for solar projects and I know Mitt will require a standard that the solar industry needs to move ahead as a competitor in the global marketplace. Loan approval must be based on business plans that show a history of "competence" not corrupt management.
This is detective sparks.. keeping you at the head of the "solar class".. keep those a-lister solar celebs coming!!
