Im keeping the topic today, light and sweet!! I'm loving this news.. Why? because it is non-conforming, non-traditional and "hot".. I mean sizzling "hot" ! Who else but the celeb diva beauties would be dating men..10, 20 and 30 years their junior?? okay.. if you are a "hottie" model or actor and happen to be a young male.. you may find yourself in a crowd of "older cougar" women who want to add you to their "trophy" room!! The temptation in hollywood is oh so delish!! and in hollywood anything goes.. Many celebs are married multiple times and what used to be the men in hollywood with the much younger woman, now you are seeing many famous women with established careers robbing the "cradle"..and I mean..robbing! Let's start out with one of the first female entertainers who made her sexy MTV videos common household agenda..Cher! Yes. Cher and the bagel boy. It didn't last long but many were "shocked" with that love affair. Cher was pushing the limit then and now. A few more names you will easily recognize on the cradle robber list... J -lo and madonna.. both being swept away by much younger men.. who happen to "dance". They must be in fantasy and heaven! What could be better than a "dance partner" for life..and the moves..!! o evey!
and then theres demi moore and ashton..now history but they had a special thing going. did i mention Susan Sarandon.. with a man 33 years younger!! now girl..you are setting up for a "heartbreaker". There are others.. and you know being cougar..like Sarah Palin and many other successful career women, politicians and entertainers, is the new vogue! To be honest, there have been a few young candidates in my life where admiration is a bond. Some women are just attracted to the younger male. It may be that they pose no threat and are more relaxed about highly successful women than the man of yesteryear still have issues with the stronger, more powerful bread winner in the competition. The rule of relationships that governed in the old days were about young , needy women who needed to focus on the older financially secure man who has visible success and access.Today women in all areas of expertise have been gaining ground with salaries, opportunities in professional worlds and many have the same equal pressures and pay as their male counterparts. I think men of the same age are highly resentful in come cases, critical and downright threatened by the trend of women who "lead". Women today attract the younger man for many reasons. One is that many women are aging gracefully with or without the help of surgery and in the world of celebrity an older woman can maintain her much younger lifestyle, fitness and celebrity looks!! Just remember Liz Taylor had 8 husbands and many were much younger men!! Obviously "good taste", a celebrity success story and power, financial security and a beautiful face , never go out of style and the younger man has much to gain with the more "relaxed" and "secure" woman who can really focus on her young man's career and in many cases sponsor them to success. Hot is a good thing and really, who are we to judge those who are in love.. young or old.. ? After all a relationship should be about mutual interests. common background and common passions! I say cougar love can't be all bad. While i feel age may be a barrier in some cases..in others it seems a perfect solution So.. what do you think about "cougars'? Do you think its an alister practice or just how it rolls with high rollers and celebs. ? It's really all about a "personal" choice and if it makes two people happy..why not? Marriages fail everyday..even those with all the "so called advantages and sweetheart signatures". Most marriages fail due to "financial problems" so no marriage is immune when couples fall upon hard times..and struggle.. and maybe struggle excessively. Businesses can go bankrupt, medical crisis can erupt, unforseen circumstance can play havoc with even the most solid couples. Christian marriages are failing at the same rate as "non-christian" marriages so it seems that trying something new and different, may not be a bad idea after all..and maybe.. there is hope for the "cougar" relationship that beats all odds. People who share passions.. and know that there is sacrifice and hard work to reach their goals, are mature and ready to commit to a relationship. An older woman needs to match the energy of a younger male so i would say if you are a cougar looking to take on a younger man, make sure you can pass the cardio workout.There is no shame in falling in love with someone who is timeless. As susan sarandon states, "she doesn't judge a person according to their age". It obviously works for her!! Just make sure its not your "maternal" instincts taking over. That would be very "degrading" for a young lover.
October is a great month to fall in love... to find love, to experience the feelings of paradise. When love finds you, you will be amazed at the power it holds over your heart. It's the "stuff" that dreams are made of. Life is to be shared..to have substance and meaning. There is a perfect mate out there just waiting to be your soulmate.
