If you are a Matt Damon and Ben Affleck fan you will be excited to see these two teaming up again for a new movie in the future. These two of the Brat Pack , grew up in Massachussetts with a few others and have not worked together for 15 years or since "Goodwill hunting". That seems like light years ago!! Anyway, Affleck is due to direct Matt in a biopic of mobster boss "whitey" bulger of Mass crime spree fame! Speaking of BFF, Matt recently moved his family to L.A. and to the same gated community as Ben and Jennifer, so the two are now "neighbors". Couldn't be more "cozy" with the super celebs sharing the same space!! As Ben put it into words, they are hetero life-mates. It seems to be a good arrangement for the children and for the "wives" too as ben and matt's shared history as brat pack celebs has bonded them in their passion for acting and film.
So keep your eyes open for Ben's and Matt's evolution in their next film together. It will be a fab expose of the "mobster" that slipped through the cracks and was hiding out.. where else but in california!! Whitey, as i last read, was still alive as a prisoner after a long "hunt" for the "most wanted" criminal. Ben has some good "content" for his next film, no doubt, as Whitey gave tons of suspense and drama in real life as he was the controlling boss in mass.
To fast forward, Ben and Matt were seen at TIFF, toronto's international film festival recently on Sept. 7, shown in this link. It looks like serious business as the two discuss future projects. Ben of course was at the festival to celebrate his new film release [ARGO] set to release oct. 12. The critics are saying its a feel good suspense film about the 1980's hostage crisis where 6 american diplomats were smuggled out of Iran !! It may be an oscar winner film for Ben and opens just in time for "oscar" season. Check out the link and video of Argo! i hear the music going with the storyline and it brings you right back to that place in time. I see Ben also stars in the film, fitting into the retro role of Tony Mendez perfectly. Ben directs, produces and stars in "argo"!! wow..talk about one kryptonite energy drink!!
If you are out leaf peeping or just enjoying a weekend , I would definitely add Ben's Argo to your "tod do" list. Poysonally, i can't wait for the return of "whitey" in the collaboration of Matt and Ben's new movie.. that is at this moment, without a title.. Ben and Matt's combined superpower will be sure to bring the Bulger story to life with a re-enactment of action packed "Irish godfather" spin!!
